For it’s second release ,Khoi Khoi‘s focus is on the fag bearers of South African electronic music. Each track draws from this miriad and vibrant electronic scene of South Africa. Xee & Codekid illustrate themselves with a polyrythmic tune, evolving crescendos and a haunting melody that lingers on. Fred Buddha provides a reflective mood based on a house loop with an additional layer of synths and rhythm that appears and disappears progressively. Bodycode delivers his own particular take on gqom, the South African sound of the moment. It’s a deep and powerful tribal track punctuated with a deep bass and inquisitive synths which refines the dancefloor approach of this moniker. t.Siza closes the EP with jams on a jazzy and warm universe, putting forward percussive elements, acidic aftertones and a solar synth.
