It bumped the dickens out of us in 2012 and it’s about to do it again in 2018; DJ Steaw returns to one of his key pivotal early releases and reboots it on his House Puff imprint with a cheeky unreleased dub. If you don’t know the Chandleresque original (or the stripped back deep mix), now is most certainly the time. “Morning Light” sounds just as fresh as well; hazy, finger-clicky, subtly atmospheric, it’s still as timeless as it was back on Traxx Underground. Finally Steaw sets us to slow-cook with the bubbling disco funker “Apollo 7”. Trippy, woozy and chugging like it’s 1982 all over again, even if you picked up “Everydayz” at the time this is worth it for “Apollo 7” alone. Delicious.
