With this 12 Maxi Single release of two ambiq tracks, from the previous album – ambiq , remixed by Ricardo Villalobos and Tobias Freund, arjunamusic is introducing a new series which brings electro-acoustic music into a alternative techno-environment.!!
After the release of ambiq on arjunamusic, pioneers in electro- acoustic soundscapes, Max Loderbauer, Samuel Rohrer and Claudio Puntin invite Riccardo Villalobos and Tobias for a remixed EP. The three musicians who came together to form ‘ambiq’ act as a chamber music ensemble with a contemporary background. Chamber musicians, sound engineers and composers when rolled into one form a wonderfully organic sound. Definitions of musical style, compositional techniques or sound guises are rendered superfluous in light of this self-evident performance. Freedom in shaping electronic soundscapes, subtle mastery of acoustic instruments and the ability to integrate these into the overall analogue-electronic sound. ambiq creates floating states like Brian Eno or Moritz von Oswald, all paired with great groove sensibility, a superb human touch and world-class mastery of their instruments.
